The Sd.Kfz. 9/1 “FAMO” was the largest German half-track tractor of World War II. Originally intended as a heavy artillery tractor, it became renowned in maintenance units for evacuating and recovering armored vehicles. The 9/1 variant carried a six-ton Bildstein crane and was powered by the Maybach HL 108 engine, also known from early versions of the Pz.Kpfw. III and IV tanks.
