In Ark, a multicultural city in the near future, disaster strikes when gates to another dimension appear. Dangerous creatures emerging from them immediately begin attacking people. They also leave devastation in their wake, and regular police units are outmatched. To counter these threats, a brand-new special police unit known as Neuron has been formed.
Right from the start, you can choose which of two characters—male or female—you want to experience this adventure as. The character you don’t choose also appears in the game as your younger twin and a member of the Neuron unit.

Work together with your Legion and defeat enemies using a variety of combat styles. You can attack one enemy together, split up to target different foes, or send your Legion to the front line while you support it with items. Use this synergistic system to fight and explore as a team!
There are several different Legions in the game, each with unique combat abilities. Players can switch between them freely during battle. Beyond combat, Legion abilities can also be used during investigations and to solve environment-based puzzles.
