The ČD Class 242 electric locomotive, nicknamed “Plecháč,” is one of the icons of Czech railways. This model by Piko faithfully captures the look and technical details of the real locomotive, including prototypical bogies and roof design. The model is delivered in an analog version with a PluX22 interface prepared for easy retrofitting with a digital decoder. The external white/red lighting switches according to the direction of travel, and after digitization you can also activate the interior cab and engine room lighting. A minimum radius of 358 mm and a length of 189 mm ensure trouble-free operation on standard H0 layouts.
