A model of the legendary V 160/216 series locomotive in H0 scale, faithfully representing the BR 216 DB AG version from the 1990s in oriental red with the typical light “face.” It offers precise detailing, high-quality printing, and white/red direction-dependent lights. Thanks to the PluX22 interface, a digital decoder and cab lighting control can be added easily.
This iconic BR 216 diesel locomotive from Era V is based on the real operating condition of DB AG. The model stands out with realistic paintwork, crisp engraving, and faithful detailing, including handrails for shunting on the frame. The variant without a snow plow reflects 1990s operations, making it a perfect fit for layouts of eras III–V.
With analog DC operation, the locomotive is ready to run out of the box while also allowing future digital upgrades via the NEM 658 PluX22 interface. The exterior white/red lighting switches with the direction of travel, and after adding a decoder the driver’s cab lighting can also be controlled digitally.
