More compact and practical size than the retro version Pretty nice money and card design More practical game board (folding instead of the original puzzle that sometimes came apart)

Game board not as nice as the retro original Ugly pieces, I immediately replaced them with classic wooden ones

I was thrilled about the retro version until I opened the box and found the card quality was terrible and definitely not like the original. Plus small wooden blocks instead of pieces — unfortunately I had to return it and get the new version, where I like the board much less, but it’s almost half the price and more compact. Such a shame :(

All playing cards are printed on completely unsuitable paper that feels like sketchbook cardstock. Print and paper durability will be poor. Because the paper isn’t coated, the colored fields on the horse cards are very dark and the text is hard to read. I don’t understand why the cards aren’t on the original coated paper. I really don’t get it, and I was very upset I had to return this retro version because of it. Instead of classic pieces there are wooden blocks (like furniture dowels) — why, seriously? They stand poorly and are small.
