The Space Shuttle Atlantis, OV-104, was the fourth shuttle from NASA that went into space. This reusable shuttle, first flown on October 3, 1985, completed 33 missions over its 26 years of service. It now resides at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex as a museum exhibit.
The Hubble Space Telescope, named after American astronomer Edwin Hubble, was deployed on April 24, 1990, by the Space Shuttle Discovery. It is a critical instrument in astronomy, delivering significant data since its deployment. The Atlantis serviced the Hubble during the STS-125 mission in 2009, updating instruments and performing necessary repairs.
