The Adax Nubian (Addax nasomaculatus) is known for its uniquely spiral horns and its incredible adaptation to life in the Sahara desert. Males and females both have ringed horns, with males' horns reaching up to 120cm, while females' have 1.5 to 2 spirals. Despite their slow pace and short legs, these antelopes have a fascinating lifestyle, spending their lives in areas without surface water, obtaining moisture solely from their food. They are nocturnal, resting during the day and active at night. Unfortunately, their slow speed makes them vulnerable to predators.
