The aim of the award’s creators is to provide guidance and reach parents and educators who want to influence market offerings and who consider the healthy personal development of children a priority. In doing so, the creators seek to encourage the expansion and development of new, valuable toys and games. The label has been awarded since 1994 and is a joint project of the Association for Toys and Play, the Toy Association, the Union of Fine Artists of the Czech Republic, and the Association of Preschool Education. These organizations, together with the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague and the Municipal Museum in Kamenice nad Lipou, present the award during the Hračníkobraní festival held annually since 2006 at the castle in Kamenice nad Lipou, where you can also see a permanent exhibition of all award-winning toys.
