The top side of the canvas is coated with adhesive and covered with a transparent film. Remove the film gradually in parts as you apply the stones. If the whole film is removed at once, the adhesive layer can become contaminated, which might affect the adherence of the stones. The canvas contains symbols shown in the accompanying legend, which refer to the corresponding bag of stones. Pour the stones into the tray, collect wax onto the tip of the pen, and apply the stones to the picture. Once a color is fully applied, pour the stones back into the bag and continue with the next color.
