The ship model is a replica of the Bismarck, one of the most powerful battleships of the German Kriegsmarine from World War II. This ship was commissioned in 1939 and was famous for its size and firepower, although it ended its career by sinking in a dramatic battle with the Royal Navy in May 1941.
