The Saber-Toothed Tiger, also known as Smilodon, was an extraordinary predator whose fossil remains were discovered in the Americas. It appeared approximately 2.5 million years ago and went extinct about 10,000 years ago. Its most distinctive feature was its long canine teeth, which were excellent tools for hunting. Adapted to hunting larger prey, the Saber-Toothed Tiger's powerful body and strong limbs allowed it to effectively chase down its targets.
