An unbeatable family game with a world map!

Board the Train: Train: Journey Around the World takes the game we all know into new territories! This time we’ll travel around the globe and across the Great Lakes of North America, which means waterways too—so get ready to set sail!

As with all other games in the series, players start with tickets in hand that show two cities. During the game, players collect colored cards and claim selected routes on the board using their own train and ship pieces. These actions let them earn victory points.

When any player has only 6 or fewer unused pieces remaining, each player gets two more turns, after which the game ends.

If a player has managed to build an uninterrupted route between the cities shown on a ticket they hold, they gain additional victory points for completing that ticket. If not, they subtract exactly that many points from their current score.

Boarding the Train: Train: Journey Around the World adds a new twist to familiar mechanisms by introducing two separate decks of colored cards—ships and trains. At the start of the game, three cards of each type are revealed, and as players draw, new cards are revealed from the deck the player chose.

Also new are ticket cards that display several cities. If a player manages to build a network that exactly matches the one on the card, they earn more points than by connecting those cities in any other way.

Each player also starts with three ports. Building them grants extra victory points based on the tickets you hold, but each unbuilt port costs you 4 victory points.

Note that Board the Train: Train on a Journey Around the World is a standalone game and does not require any previous titles in the series.
