Dinosaur Excavation Kit Stegosaurus
Dinosaur Excavation Kit Stegosaurus
Become a paleontologist and unearth the bones of a prehistoric Stegosaurus, which roamed the Earth thousands of years ago. This kit includes a plaster block containing hidden dinosaur bones and excavation tools. Once all the bones are found and cleaned, you can assemble an entire skeleton approximately 17 centimeters long. The kit includes a cardboard display card with many interesting facts about the Stegosaurus.
Did You Know?
The name Stegosaurus means ‘roofed lizard’. It was named because early scientists believed the plates on its back overlapped like roof tiles. Despite weighing over 4.5 tons, the Stegosaurus had a very small brain (about the size of a walnut). The plates on its back were bony scales similar to those covering crocodiles' bodies and were attached to their skin, not to the skeleton.
